The start of this interesting project began years ago in a small apartment. This individual's roommate had explained to him that while attending college at the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana, he was involved in a different kind of night all together. The kind where boys in fraternities who can barley grow hair as it is, dress themselves in fake moustaches and aviator sun glasses to out for the night. This intrigued one of our founders as it was quite an unusual practice, and one that had not crossed his mind before. Although interesting and different, this was a hollow night that took no preparation other than a half-a-case of watered down beer and access to the nearest wig shop.

A few weeks later a picture was discovered which included gentleman ordering drinks at a bar with horrible fake moustache affixed to their upper lips.

This was carried in the front breast pocket of our founders until at last, it dawn on him to suggest the idea of the REAL moustache bar crawl to his circle of friends. It took off! They agreed as a group that January 1 was the deadline for shaving. The crawl would happen 4 weeks from that point on the closest Saturday. A legacy was born.
